How many days without sleep?

How many days without sleep?

Happy Mindset Monday! 😎

How many days can a person go without food? ~8-21 days

How many days without water? ~3 days

How many days without sleep? ~1-11 days 😳

I’ve been trying to think of a way to drive home the importance of sleep. I hope this helps.

“Seriously Dave, you’re posting about sleep?? I just want abs in 7 days!”

🤦‍♂️

You’ll experience side effects of sleep deprivation within the first 24 hours.

Another thing that happens when you don’t sleep for 24 hours is an increase in our stress hormones, like cortisol and adrenaline.  Which will have you hold on to that unwanted belly fat, amongst many other issues.

Adequate sleep, 7–9 hours, will have these positive affects:

💥 Positive effect on your hormonal profile

(Includes all the benefits that come along with a healthy hormonal profile!)

💥 Help you maintain or lose weight

(lack of sleep makes you feel hungrier, and reduces your ability to make “good choices”.)

💥 Can improve concentration and productivity

💥 Can maximize athletic performance

💥 May strengthen your heart

💥 Affects sugar metabolism and type 2 diabetes risk

💥 Supports a healthy immune system

Poor sleep is linked to increased inflammation, as well as depression.

Let’s BUILD ourselves up!

✅ Good nutrition

✅ Lift weights

✅ Prioritize rest and recovery
